Express Entry system is a popular way to make Canada your new home. This system is comprised of three federal immigration programs:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
- Federal Skilled Trade Program (FSTP)
- The Canada Experience Class (CEC).
To qualify for all these programs, the candidate has to go through the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) and score out of 1200 total points. Once qualified, the candidate enters into the draw pool if selected, followed by an invitation to apply (ITA). After that, it takes approximately six months to get the PR.
Points calculation under CRS is based on the following factors.
i. Age of Candidate
ii. Education
iii. Language Competency Skills (English, French or both)
iv. Work Experience
v. Adaptability of life in Canada.
